Applications in HR
No more
printing of the staff satisfaction survey form and finding a way to both
ditribute it to all staff and encourage them to fill it in! With Quask,
the survey is designed so that it is quick and easy to complete and it
can be emailed to your employees. It can be set so that they can only
complete the questionnaire once and it is easy for you to monitor those
who have not completed the survey and send them a reminder.
Some examples
of how this technology can be used include:
Benchmark
Employee Surveys
If you are currently using a simple, comprehensive employee
satisfaction survey or employee attitude survey, this can be transalated
from paper and pencil to a web design.
Diagnostic
Surveys
If you want to quantify some aspects of an employee issue
or more broadly examine employee satisfaction, HR Asia Pacific recommends
the following approach
- Focus
Groups with employees and managers to explore the areas on an qualitative
basis
- Use of
tailor-made Quask survey to quantify the issues and identify priorities
and strength of feeling
- Analysis
of the results and a report or discussion with the management team
- Feedback
to employees on the results and the actions the management team have
identified to address the issues.
Training
Evaluation
Instead of giving participants a 'happy sheet' to complete
at the end of each training course, why not adopt more contemporary methodology?
Send them an evalutation questionnaire that is waiting for them straight
after the course and follow this up with email questionaires over the
following months that look at behavioural and skill changes in the workplace.
All the data for each course is collated and easy to analyse.
Employee Motivation Surveys
If an effective workforce is defined by its skills and
motivation, do you know how motivated your employees are? Simple occupational
motivation surveys can be ditributed to random samples throughout the
year - providing a moving index of employee motivation.
Exit
Surveys
As soon as you know one of your employees has resigned,
you can send them a simple Exit Interview Questionnaire that captures
crucial information on their reasons for leaving. This can be handled
confidentially and immediately a resignation is received. Face to face
interviews can be provided if the data suggestes this is necessary.
Intelligent
Time Sheets
Employees can fill in a form that includes scripts and
branching to capture not only the hours worked, but by following a simple
set of rules can work out the 'loaded' hours or the actual pay rates.
Performance
Reviews
Managers and employees can complete simple forms to identify
the objectives for the next period and the training and development opportunities
required. At the end of the period, these same objectives can be assessed
for achievement and feedback provided. All this occurs in a way that allows
HR to see the completion of the forms, capture data on the training required
and capture feedback on assessed performance. The data can easily be moved
to the HRMIS if required.
