ABS - Development Centres
In association with our colleagues at Results Consulting, the Brindabella team designed and delivered a 1-day development centre as the first element in a managmenet development program. This innovative approach was well-received by the participants.

Hassall and Associates - Remuneration Systems
Brindabella Consulting has a long association with Hassall, particularly in designing and managing the remuneration and incentive programs. This year we are reviewing the Performance and Development System as well, using a sophisticated on-line survey technique.

Australian Federal Police - Capability Framework Communication

Two Opposing Forces
With the Global Financial Crisis threatening to drive up the unemployment statistics, the question is whether the ageing workforce that has made recruiting difficult will balance the GFC or not. I'm betting it will.

Classification Creep in the APS
In 1999, the most common classification in the Australian Public Service was APS 6. By 2006-07, the EL1s are the most common. Yet the average length of experience in the APS remains close to 10 years.

The response to the market in the APS and the control of the Collective Agreement making has resulted in over-classification of positions to attract or retain scarce people.
