The team at Brindabella Consulting has an excellent track record in designing and delivering effective training programs that produce behavioural change. We are keen to take on any training assignment that falls within our specialist expertise. The following are four of our most popular training programs delivered regularly to clients in the APS and Canberra region.

Attracting and Selecting Great People
A one day workshop that covers all aspects of the recruitment and selection process, with a specific focus on advanced interviewing techniques and the overall strategy to be adopted. Removal of biases is a specific focus. Follow-up support is also provided to participants.

Reported client benefits include a more efficient selection process, more external applicants appointed and greater compliance with internal policies.

Behavioural Interviewing Workshop
A half day workshop that focuses on the expansion of the selection criteria and advanced interviewing techniques within an overall framework of making an informed selection decision. Follow-up support is provided to participants.

Reported client benefits include greater confidence in assessing the 'soft' skills of applicants and improved selection reports.

Assessing Performance
A one day workshop for managers and supervisors that shows them how to use the performance managment system and other tools such as the corporate plan and work level standards to assess the performance of their staff in a fair and unbiased manner. Also includes how to communicate the assessment and set objectives for the next review period. Follow-up support is provided to participants.

Reported client benefits include a more realistic spread of performance ratings, fewer disputes during the annual review period and greater compliance with the policies.

Giving Effective Feedback
A half day workshop for managers and staff on how to give feedback on performance or behaviour in the workplace. The focus is placed on the language used and participants practice giving particularly difficult feedback using their own real-life examples form work or home.

Reported client benefits include the confidence to address issues that arise quickly and a low level of disputes and grievances as a result of feedback.
